Dental Pod Review – Which Dental Pod is Right For Your Practice?

Whether you’re new to the world of dental pods or you’re looking for a new pod to enhance your current dental practice, this article will help you make an informed decision. We’ll cover the features of each pod, how they differ from each other, and what makes each one a good choice for your practice.

Ultrasonic cavitation cleaning

Using an ultrasonic cleaning method for dental pods is more efficient than manual scrubbing. This process reaches tiny cracks and crevices.

Ultrasonic cleaning systems use sound waves to create millions of microscopic bubbles in the cleaning solution. These bubbles attach to the part being cleaned and clean the entire surface of the appliance.

The effectiveness of the ultrasonic cavitation cleaning is determined by the ultrasonic frequency and temperature. A lower frequency creates larger bubbles and a higher frequency produces smaller bubbles.

When selecting an ultrasonic cleaning method for dental pods, it is important to choose a cleaning frequency that produces a uniform distribution of cavitation. A longer cleaner run will create more bubbles, but the maximum amount of cleaning that can be achieved is limited.

The ideal frequency for cleaning dental instruments is 37 kHz. This frequency generates 37,000 cycles per second. It is the most appropriate for most dental instrument cleaning needs.

The temperature of the cleaning solution also affects the effectiveness of the ultrasonic cavitation. A solution temperature should be below 42 degrees Celsius. Keeping the solution temperature below this level will prevent contaminants from “baking” on surfaces.

The size of the internal tank and the mesh basket is very important. The diameter of the tank and the basket should be slightly smaller than the dimensions of the item being cleaned.
