Infinix Hot 8 has a massive 5000mAh battery that can give you up to 4 days of use. It is powered by a MediaTek Helio P22 chipset and 2GB of RAM.

It runs XOS 5.0, the Infinix skin on top of Android 9.0 Pie. It has a cheetah UI that works fast, light, and smoothly.

Display

The 6.6-inch IPS display of the Hot 8 comes with a 720 x 1600 px resolution and 450nit brightness, which is pretty impressive for such a low price tag. It also has a 20:9 aspect ratio, meaning you can get all your content on one screen.

The display is backed by a MediaTek MT6762 Helio P22 processor with 2GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage. The smartphone also boasts a triple camera setup at the rear and an AI selfie sensor up front. The best part is that the Hot eight packs a 5000 mAh battery which is quite impressive for such a budget handset. We did our battery test by streaming a YouTube video on mobile data, and the device could keep up with the competition.

Camera

The Infinix Hot 8 has an AI-enabled front camera with an f/2.0 aperture; magic LED flash, and AI Beauty mode. The rear camera is 13MP with PDAF and a dedicated low-light sensor for capturing dark scenes.

The phone also has a 2MP depth sensor and an AI HDR feature. It also features a panorama mode and a custom bokeh effect.

The smartphone runs Android 9.0 Pie with XOS 5.0 cheetah UI on top of it. It also has a 5000mAh battery that supports rapid smartphone recharge, and its AI-enabled battery lab optimizes power consumption to ensure you have four days of battery life on the go.

Performance

Infinix Hot 8 has an amazing battery life that lasts four days without a recharge. It runs on a MediaTek Helio P22 chipset, delivering a 2.0 GHz octa-core processor with 64-bit support. It also comes with a PowerVR GE8320 GPU integrated for handling graphics.

Its XOS 5.0 skin on top of Android 9.0 is fast, light, and smooth. A few bloatware apps are pre-installed, but they are not necessary. Nevertheless, the phone is well equipped with the latest features like face unlock and fingerprint scanner.

The front camera on the Infinix Hot 8 is an 8MP unit with a waterdrop notch that helps to take selfies in all kinds of lighting conditions. It also has an f/2.0 aperture and a Magic LED flash. It also supports AI HDR, panorama, and custom bokeh modes.

Price

The Infinix Hot 8 is a budget smartphone that comes in two variants, namely the 2GB/64GB and 4GB/64GB. It runs on a MediaTek MT6762 Helio P22 chipset with a 2.0GHz octa-core processor, and PowerVR GE8320 GPU integrated for handling graphics.

The device also carries a 20:9 aspect ratio 6.52 inches IPS LCD with 720 pixels and a waterdrop notch. It has a 178-degree wide-angle lens and an 8MP AI selfie camera with magic LED flash for taking stunning photos in any lighting condition.

The phone is powered by XOS 5.0, Infinix’s skin on top of Android 9.0 Pie. Unfortunately, it’s a complicated piece of software that pre-packs many options in places where they don’t belong, and it can also be pretty bloated.
